Our 2009 Seed Savers Exchange Listing

Here is our 2009 Seed Offering to The Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook. If you would like to request any of these varieties please become a member in the Seed Savers Exchange.

Membership in the Seed Savers Exchange is cheap and easy. You do not have to offer seed to request seed and if you do offer seed it is a very rewarding experience. Most of the varieties offered by its members are hard to find elsewhere. Please sign up for a SSE membership and send out some seeds and requests through the network. It is a great way to help preserve our biodiversity.

However, if you arenot a SSE member many of these varieties are availible at Adaptive Seeds (our retail seed company)

The listing is organized by the SSE categories and "LQ" means low quantity for listed members only. "SSE Only" are varieties availible only in the Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook to members. This due to having low quantity.

organic (not certified) seed offered year round

E-mail to confirm availability. Requesting more than one variety is great and we would love to recommend varieties.

The Seed Ambassadors Project works collecting and disseminating biodiversity to further local food system durability. Over the last two winters we traveled through Europe, collecting and sharing seeds and stories with those involved with open-pollinated seeds. We collected over 700 varieties of food plants, most of which are not available in the US. We are now increasing seed of many of these varieties to offer in future yearbooks. We are shifting our focus from tomatoes to beans, brassicas, grains and roots. Prioritizing for the foods that really feed us. Please visit www.seedambassadors.org to find out more about our project.
